These are photos of the 96 female #1 after she is finished copulating and prior to the pre egg laying shed. She is gravid. Her skin is dry, and appears scaly and patchy.

This is the same female following the pre egg laying shed. Note how the skin glistens compared to the photos from 10 days earlier.

This is the same female in the lay box. This is a standard Rubbermaid or Sterilite box with damp sphagnum moss inside and a hole cut in the lid. She will lay her eggs inside this box.

The first photo are the eggs she deposited. Four infertile slugs were discarded. The egg on the top left is obviously bad. It is partially discolored and "sweating" even on the day it was laid.  This egg smelled rotten the following day and was discarded. The 2nd photo is a close-up of this egg.
Note the somewhat trapezoidal shape which is indicative of infertile eggs.

The 3rd picture is a close-up of another egg which is suspect. There is a small "window" which appears discolored and is "sweating" slightly. This egg probably will not hatch.

The fourth photo is a close-up of the obviously fertile eggs.
